Extensive experience in planning and managing the execution of a wide range of openpit mines in multiple commodities including several engineering construction projects ranging from roads, rails, earth dams, concrete structures, infrastructure developments.

Multiple years of cost management, cost engineering, estimating, value engineering, planning and scheduling and project management experience on a wide range of projects ranging from multiple commodity openpit mines to civil engineering construction projects.

Project development documentation
Extensive project development documentation experience on numerous openpit mines including pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, capital recommendations, execution plans, COP and SOP’s, Independent engineers reports, Valuations and assessments.

Project management
Extensive experience in planning, scheduling, organising, controlling and successfully delivering major and minor projects in openpit mining and construction.

Engineering design
Extensive experience in design, planning, costing, procurement, contract agreements, resources, budget forecasts of numerous openpit mines. Short, medium and long term planning, economic life,  mine planning, on-going reconciliations of mine plans.

Business optimisation
Business optimisation is our core trade, Tacmin Madini has a considerable track record in respect of value added during assignments as carried out for blue chip mining companies on several openpit mines across Africa.

As a result of our contract mining background and experience (Sarel Blaauw was a former director of MCC Contracts and has a considerable industry track record as contract mining expert) we are capable and have on numerous projects obtained most competitive prices from the largest mining contractors in Africa.

Environment
Rehabilitation planning forms an integral part of our on-going planning and design services (mine planning) for customers of current openpit mines and our expertise has designed and planned cost effective progressive rehabilitation on numerous openpit mines.

As a result of our multiple years of involvement with numerous openpit mining customers we have developed a track record in our safety standards and the compilation of SOP’s and COP’s for customers has become a standard Tacmin Madini service.
